LHRIC Instructional Technology’s CS/STEAM Playdate Series returns this fall with three engaging professional learning experiences designed for teachers, STEM/STEAM coordinators, and educational leaders. These hands-on workshops provide opportunities to explore innovative instructional tools, collaborate with colleagues, and discover practical strategies for supporting the New York State Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards while building high-quality STEM and STEAM programs.
The series begins with the CS/STEAM Kickoff Playdate on October 22, 2026, where participants can explore and compare a variety of K-8 CS and STEAM products in a collaborative, hands-on environment. On November 5, 2026, the CS/STEAM Masterclass (K-8) will bring educators together for a full day of learning focused on joyful STEAM experiences, coding pathways, and unplugged learning strategies. The series continues on December 2, 2026, with LEGO® Education Presents “The Power of Purposeful Play,” showcasing how hands-on learning, coding, robotics, computer science, and AI can be integrated into meaningful classroom experiences that foster future-ready skills.
